October 25th, 2007 — blogging, work
I know it’s boring but search marketing is what I do sometimes so I find it interesting that this blog is currently ranking first page for the phrase running outside and that’s another bit of blatant anchor text for me). Try it and see if it still is.
Furious is up there too.
What do you rank for?

Have a look at this post.
Now I wonder who it was that was viewing this post on Steve’s blog and then went to lostarmymates ?
How do I know? Well I use the free google analytics service and that told me that one of the referring sites belonged to Steve.
Small world and all that.
August 14th, 2007 — work
Just need a link to a little project that I’m trying out.
I’ve published a new amazon store promoting Lowepro camera cases and I need it to be spidered by those lovely little search engines.
July 4th, 2007 — health, work
Been tinkering with wordpress all morning for a little keyless phone project that I’m playing with and I’ve got a headache. So now that I’ve just given google a subtle backlink for the new site I’m going for a run, even though I pulled a back muscle putting my socks on yesterday (agony last night!)
June 11th, 2007 — allotments, chris, running, work
Joining my very distinguished list of mates in my blog roll is Chris with his brand new running blog.
That makes 4 mates now and one of those is my own allotment blog …I really must get out more!
Chris (another sensible chap who works from home) has dusted off his trainers and after a week or two fine tuning to sharpen up his fast-twitch muscle fibres we’ll be meeting up in Meols (next door to Hoylake) to sprint off in the direction of Leasowe Lighthouse and beyond.
Talking of running I haven’t been out since last Thursday. Was going to try and go out yesterday but ended up spending more time than planned on a search marketing proposal for a potential client. Might try and get one in today …seems hot today though so maybe I’ll do some weeding down on the plot midday and go for a run late afternoon when it should be cooler. Or I could do some work I suppose!
January 9th, 2007 — allotments, running, work
Went for a longer one today. Did this circuit (now named my wirral way circuit) again only did the Wirral Way on the outward leg instead. Not as windy as it was during the night but windy nevertheless. The prom just isn’t nice in the wind. Remembered to tape my left nipple (right one never boths me) and carried some water too this time. Didn’t help though really ‘cos I managed to make really hard work of it.
Thing is, now that I’ve finally got my allotment (blog updated needed) I need to better manage my (day) time whilst I get the very overgrown plot kind of sorted. So the current plan is perhaps to do longer runs every other day and on the rest day I’ll walk down to plot 69 and do some digging (actually, I read an article t’other day that suggests that us men need to be out in the fresh air doing things - like digging in soil full of weeds - to keep us sane and happy … hunter/gatherer stuff I guess).
Ideally I’d do both every day but I need to work on long over-due revamps of credit card sites and such like to avoid street begging. Roll on light summer evenings when there’s always more time to do things.
Not at all sure why Navman says it’s 360m shorter today?

January 5th, 2007 — statistics, work
I’ve decided to start keeping a log of my running. Further to this post I’ve plumped for google spreadsheets rather than excel. That way my stats are available from either my pc or my laptop - so no faffing around with memory sticks and such like.
I’ve used google spreasheets on and off for a while for some analyse of some of my affiliate marketing activity. Whilst it’s not currently a rival for excel, it does most of what I need it plus your data is online, shareable (if you want) and it’s free.
