June 4th, 2008 — wirral way
Did my Wirral Way circuit today. Wind assisted on the outward - a bit. Wind hindered on the homeward leg - also a bit.
Was going alright until about the 10km mark when I started to stiffen up. Manage to get round in 1hour 3 50 something - so that’s a good minute better than my last effort.
I seem to have lost focus with my running this year for whatever reason. I should get myself back into it!

Did my Wirral Way circuit today on yet another windy old day. Was going alright until I started to seize up on the way home. Still, nice to do a long-un …you do find that your mind loses more clutter the longer you run
January 29th, 2008 — wirral way
Did my Wirral Way circuit and as the title suggests it was yet another windy day on The Wirral. Decent breeze slowing me down (*cough) all the way to the Wirral Way car park at Caldy. The rain had a bit of a go too but evidently didn’t have enough conviction.
Running along Hoylake prom to home it suddently got a bit stormy and a really strong gust of wind must have added a couple of kph to my speed. And then it started to rain properly just to get me wet before I got home - lovely. And to think I didn’t really fancy it but made myself do a longer one ‘cos the forecast said it’s going to be bleeding awful in the next day or so.
Must update my stats soon.

Having not been out for a couple of days due to poorly children and other stuff, I’d planned on going out for a decent one. But when I got down to the prom and felt that nasty Mr Wind again I could have easily changed my mind. Got to end of the prom and was already a good half minute down on normal times.
Any road, convinced myself to stay the course and I did my Caldy - Wirral Way circuit. Not the fastest of times but I thought I was going okay. Could really feel in my legs afterwards though.
Stats to come.

Had another bash at my Wirral Way circuit. Toes still a bit sore from the run on Monday. Not quite as windy but a bit of a breeze around. Really stiffened up on the last leg back along the prom to home.

Did my 13km Wirral Way circuit and found it hard work. The stiff breeze seemed to be in my face all the way around.

Well it was supposed to be peeing down earlier today - but that didn’t happen until about 8.30 tonight when it really, really did.
So, not having done much last week I decided to do a bit more today and do my Wirral Way circuit. Bit breezy here and there but warm, dry and sometimes sunny too. Not going brill and I’m not sure why but my legs are really stiff at the moment …perhaps I’m not doing enough! Bit of stretching probably needed.

April 12th, 2007 — running, weather, wirral way
Did my Wirral Way circuit today in the warm weather but I’m not that happy with my time. Started off alright and reached my markers of The Royal Liverpool entrance in under 10 mins and then the corner of Riversdale Rd in just over 17 mins. Oh well, must have lost it somewhere along the way. Lovely day for it anyway - even wore a summer outfit of shorts and running vest. Noticeably cooler on the prom on the way home. No on-board entertainment today as the mp3 player had a flat battery.

Had another bash at my Wirral Way circuit again today (Caldy first). Felt better today but I’m still disappointed with the time. Was going alright up to West Kirby sailing club and I pushed it a bit toward the end so I can only assume that eased off around Caldy and maybe the Wirral Way.
In France next week for a short break and I’m taking my trainers so hopefully I’ll get a run in.
Legs are killing me now. And my toe nails are really bloodshot (if you know what I mean)

After a couple of reasonable runs I’m disappointed with todays effort. Okay, so I went a bit further but I’d hoped to get closer to the hour mark today.
Did my Wirral Way loop (Caldy first). Bit breezy, but not too cold and lovely and bright. Didn’t feel like I was in to it today from about 10 minutes in and I ended up making hard work of it for the next 50 odd minutes. Bloody running!
Still, look on the bright side ….The Killers are playing live on The Brits - top band!
Going to plot 69 tomorrow.
