Wirral Way
Longer run today. Enjoyable but not the fastest in 1hr 8. Think that might be my slowest time for this circuit.
Wirral Way Circuit
Did my Wirral Way circuit today and found it hard going to be honest. Coming in at 1hr 7 that’s a good 2 mins off what I’d expect to do this 13km circuit in.
Nice to do a longer run though on balance – though had to express my frustation at (yet another) carefree dog owner.
Still got some runs to blog to keep the diary up-to-date.
Wirral Way Today
Because the weather is supposed to be iffy tomorrow I thought I’d do tomorrow’s longer run today.
So, did Wirral Way circuit (13km) on what was a half decent day. Wore my beenie hat to keep my earphones in place. Was going alright until I started to feel it with about 10 mins to go. A chap I see out quite a bit passed me on the start of the prom so I tried to keep him at the same distance. This fella has had a strap thingy on his left knee for at least a year!
1 hr 4 so that’ll do. Wasn’t going for it and my legs were a bit stiff after yesterday’s reps. It’s 5.30 now and my legs are rather stiff …a bottle of brown medicine needed later I reckon.
Sunday Run
Had to fix a leaky shower yesterday and do some other things so missed my run but managed a longer trot this morning.
Wirral Way + Caldy loop on quite a pleasant morning considering …bit warmer and the rain managed to stay off for me. Easterly wind for a change so it was breezy back home along the prom. Quite a few walkers on Wirral Way, a couple of mountain bikers but no other runners at all.
Having had a few beers (for me) the previous evening I’m okay with a final time of 1HR 18 on the nail.
West Kirby To Parkgate On Wirral Way
Link to map here. Purely for future reference. 11.65 km / 7.23 miles
Wirral Way Today
Didn’t spot any tacks today along the Wirral Way. I say that ‘cos it appears that person(s) unknown have been laying carpet tacks on the Wirral Way and cyclists have been getting punctures. I’d read about this a week or so ago on a locals cycling blog and then today it was mentioned in our local paper.
Tired again today after yesterdays effort. Stayed away from the prom again – it’s not nice in to a strong head wind with added sand. Another 60 mins under my belt anyways.
Hopefully meeting up with Mike tomorrow for a sociable trot.
Wirral Way Today
Managed to miss most of the rain to do a slightly shortened Wirral Way circuit. Didn’t fancy getting blown to bits on the prom so kept to Market Street instead. Stiff legs and dodgy hip today so felt like a right old bag of bones in parts!
About 63 minutes in total and nice to stop.
13km’er on The Wirral Way
Did my Wirral Way circuit today. Wind assisted on the outward – a bit. Wind hindered on the homeward leg – also a bit.
Was going alright until about the 10km mark when I started to stiffen up. Manage to get round in 1hour 3 50 something – so that’s a good minute better than my last effort.
I seem to have lost focus with my running this year for whatever reason. I should get myself back into it!
13km Today
Did my Wirral Way circuit today on yet another windy old day. Was going alright until I started to seize up on the way home. Still, nice to do a long-un …you do find that your mind loses more clutter the longer you run
WWW = Windy Wirral Way
Did my Wirral Way circuit and as the title suggests it was yet another windy day on The Wirral. Decent breeze slowing me down (*cough) all the way to the Wirral Way car park at Caldy. The rain had a bit of a go too but evidently didn’t have enough conviction.
Running along Hoylake prom to home it suddently got a bit stormy and a really strong gust of wind must have added a couple of kph to my speed. And then it started to rain properly just to get me wet before I got home – lovely. And to think I didn’t really fancy it but made myself do a longer one ‘cos the forecast said it’s going to be bleeding awful in the next day or so.
Must update my stats soon.
