July 4th, 2007 — red rocks, running, weather
Did Red Rocks circuit and my back didn’t bother me (it is a bit now). The wind, however did bother me as it was more than a tad windy on the outward leg, especially along the prom. It tried to rain too. Lovely weather for the time of year. Last year it was alot dryer, warmer, etc

June 13th, 2007 — allotment-red rocks, hoylake, running, weather
Had intended to go out at lunchtime for a longer run but it was raining and to be honest I didn’t fancy getting a soaking today. So I left it until late afternoon - when it was raining!
Bit of a combo run. Ran down to the plot first to water the greenhouse plants and then continued my run down to Red Rocks. Cut it short on the way home to borrow a wooden pallet out of a skip in the Community Centre car park (pallets are useful for making compost bins down on the plot).
Got a bit wet but mustn’t grumble as it hasn’t rained since the last bank holiday.
I’ll update the stats when I find my watch.

May 28th, 2007 — allotment-beach rd, allotments, weather
As I needed to pop down to my allotment to water the tomatoe plants etc in the greenhouse I decided to combine the plot 69 visit with a run. Actually I could do with multi-tasking more often as I never seem to have enough time to fit things in even though I run our search marketing business from home and have no commute time!
Ran down to the plot. Using my navman for the first time in ages I now know that door to door it’s 1km (well about 10 metres shy - so we’ll call it 1km). Did that in 4.37. Watered the plants and then headed off to Beach Road. You lose a bit of time crossing the railway line but no matter, this’ll never be a circuit for speed running. Up Market Street, down Stanley Road to Beach Road, and then back home as usual.
Going awful. Felt like a lump of lard! Might be getting a cold so I’ll blame that. Grotty weather too - back to two tops and long pants. Resultant ave speed seems high to me. I did pause the watch whilst on the plot though not the navman - but I hardly walked any distance at all. Perhaps the wind down on the prom blew me home? And as I type this not only is it windy it’s pouring down too. Ah! it’s a Bank Holiday.

Unusually, it was raining. Must be the first time in ages. Went out and got wet. Wasn’t going that well - I’ll blame that on decorating and plotting over the weekend giving me stiff legs.
Did Red Rocks and back and that was enough for me today.

April 16th, 2007 — health, red rocks, running, weather
After the big-uns of late last week my legs were still a bit tired today. Just had a sensible run to Red Rocks and back with a stopped-the-clock break at the turn to admire the view. A bit cooler than the last few days with a deceptive breeze too. Also, whilst I’m on about the weather I was thinking today that it hasn’t rained for a while - a few lawns are already losing their greenness and I’ve spotted a few people watering lawns with hosepipes already. Now that I’m an allotmenteer I’ll be more interested in rain.
Got my fingers crossed that I don’t catch chicken pox - other half has had it, youngest currently has it, eldest hasn’t had it yet and neither have I. Everyone keeps telling me that it can be quite nasty catching it in adulthood. I’ll be prescribing that well known antidote of brown medicine and plenty of cakes if I do catch it. Nah, I’ll be fine, I only ever get colds!

April 12th, 2007 — running, weather, wirral way
Did my Wirral Way circuit today in the warm weather but I’m not that happy with my time. Started off alright and reached my markers of The Royal Liverpool entrance in under 10 mins and then the corner of Riversdale Rd in just over 17 mins. Oh well, must have lost it somewhere along the way. Lovely day for it anyway - even wore a summer outfit of shorts and running vest. Noticeably cooler on the prom on the way home. No on-board entertainment today as the mp3 player had a flat battery.

April 10th, 2007 — hoylake, riversdale rd, running, statistics, weather
Made hard work of it today on my Riversdale Rd circuit. Funny how it is - some days it just feels far more hard graft than it normally does. Still, suppose I enjoyed it !
And another thing, where’s this bloody heatwave we’re supposed to be having?
300km for the year so far. Or 186.4 miles if you prefer.

A touch of sunshine and a mild day in Hoylake can only mean one thing - the beer garden of the Green Lodge will be packed. And so it was as I ran past this afternoon. Though, I didn’t stop for a swift half and a packet of Seabrooks…. ah! so this is what Captain Sensible does nowadays.
Did my Red Rocks circuit again and wasn’t going too bad at all. In fact that might actually be a PB (need to get my stats together). Wasn’t going for a fast one, intention being to do around 24:30 ish. Must have been the air on my legs - shorts today!

March 28th, 2007 — photo, riversdale rd short, running, weather
I did doubt myself. Then I found this:
Gray is a color.
Grey is a colour.
It was foggy today in old Hoylake town. Has been all day. Bit on the cool side too down on Hoylake Promenade late this afternoon. I took the photo this morning at about 8.20 - the fog has lifted a lot but it is still lingering. What strange weather we’re seeing this week.
Walking eldest to dancing and then did my shortened Riversdale Rd circuit. A little bit slower than I would have preferred. Didn’t real feel like going out today - so I promised myself a homemade scone after tea as a little reward if I went running. I know, I know …but it worked, I went out!

March 26th, 2007 — hoylake, riversdale rd, running, weather
Weird weather again. Freezing last week, mid teens today. Weather plugin in currently reading 16c for Hoylake. Went out in 2 tops not realising just how warm it was and really noticed it down the beach between Red Rocks and West Kirby (Riversdale Rd circuit today).
Come up with todays post title before remembering that this band came up with the very same:
Sod any copyright issues hey!
Not going too bad, felt a little heavy legged on the damp sand.
