Progress Report On The 1000km

Back in June I decided to aim for 1000km this year.

Year to date I’m on 813km so with about 12 weeks or so left to do 187km thats about 15km each week to the end of the year. Doesn’t too bad, though there’s Christmas and I’m bound to catch the odd coughs and colds (watch this space, Sarah has got a cold now).

I’ll keep reminding myself of Cronins law:

more running = more cakes

Run Fat Boy Run

Topical film title for you this evening! I don’t think I’ll be going to see it.

Out late afternoon today for a quick blast down to Red Rocks. Not a bad time too - reasonably happy with that. Went a bit harder to start with, nothing too drastic, and tried to go harder than normal toward the finish to see what the time would be.

Note to self: I should be doing sub 24 on this one, given a good day and some effort.

Navman seemed to work.

Start:16.34

Aiming For 1000

Okay, so far this year I’ve managed to record 60 runs and knock out about 450 km. Now that I guess that is a lot less than last year but then last year I wasn’t growing my own (oh alright, trying to grow…).

So, it seems realistic to set a year-end target of at least 1000 km. Should be do-able, nothing too silly.
