Well it was kind of like a summers day today - not quite as good as I was expecting but certainly a lot warmer than of late. Went out at about 5ish and did Riversdale again. Around a minute slower today compared to Monday for some reason? Anyway, nice to be out and about. All hot and bothered when I got home.

Not Too Bad
July 21st, 2008 — riversdale rd
Did Riversdale Rd circuit today which (yet again) was a breezy old day. So a time of around 39.30 when I wasn’t pushing it aint too bad.
Yep, still struggling to keep the old blog updated …perhaps I should pick a new theme for a bit of inspiration. I’m messing about with a new theme on a cycling shoes site that I’m starting - might go with that one. Actually, it’s not just blogging about running that I need to do more of …bit more running required too!
Friday Afternoon 2-Up
May 9th, 2008 — riversdale rd
Went out with Graham late this afternoon and we did the Riversdale Rd circuit.
I think Graham felt it a bit today whereas I found it alright - we normally run early morning when I’m usually a supple as sheet glass.
Quite a few lads down on the beach at West Kirby …warm sunshine with lashings of fizzy Stella clearly produces predictable behaviour.
My Legs Are Killing Me
April 21st, 2008 — riversdale rd
Shouldn’t have really, but I did.
Having planted my spuds on Saturday morning down on my allotment plot I’ve been aching like crazy with all the bending and digging. So today I reckoned it’d be a good idea to run it out of my legs. That wasn’t a great idea - as I’m aching even more now. Silly boy!
Was dead slow today too. Weather was warmer though the easterly wind was still around - headwind home.
Have got some blog posts to do ..must catch up. Even went mountain biking last week in Delamere and totally enjoyed myself, having not done any biking for ages - really ages.

Back Out After Nearly A Week
February 27th, 2008 — riversdale rd
Back in my trainers today after a near week long break for various reasons. Nice and mild but a deceptive breeze about. Various aches and pains from my joints for some reason, though possibly largely due to barrowing very heavy flags to and around the now shed adorned allotment.
Riversdale Road circuit today in a sluggish 40.nn - not too impressive.
A Windy Day Again
January 8th, 2008 — riversdale rd, running
Another windy day on West Wirral saw me trudging around my Riversdale Rd circuit.
Sneakily tried to avoid some of the stiff breeze by running upto West Kirby first to attempt to benefit from a tail wind down on the sand.
Would’ve been happier with a sub 40, but not too bad considering.

Last Run Of 2007
December 30th, 2007 — riversdale rd, running
Finished off this years running with a trip around my Riversdale Rd circuit.
Running along the beach in the dusk made for a change and I’ve convinced myself that it’d be daft to run this circuit when it’s completely dark.
Slow again, but signs of returning fitness on the return home.

Back !
December 23rd, 2007 — riversdale rd, running
Hooray, I’m back out pounding the streets of Hoylake!
Still not 100% but what remains of this most annoying, lingering cold passes the above the neck test so I decided it was high time to get back out.
Did my Riversdale Rd circuit in a terribly slow time this afternoon but (a) I wasn’t bothered about time and (b) I was just going steady. I can feel it in my legs this evening - you soon lose your fitness.
Another 8 and bit km closer to my target of 1000km for the year - looks like I’ll crawl past that marker. Liverpool half marathon (not entered yet) only about 2 months away ….need to get back into shape sharpish and then some.

A Good Soaking
November 28th, 2007 — riversdale rd, running
Went out this lunchtime and got soaked on my Riversdale Rd loop. It was somewhat grey with a bit that fine rain before I set off but it turned to proper rain by the time I was on the beach. Tad windy too for good measure.
Not surprisingly there weren’t any dog walkers out today, just a few twitchers (bird watchers) stood in the rain with their telescopes. We exchanged knowing smiles… yes, we must be mad.
On the plus side my new trainers didn’t seem to absorb too much water and I was pleased with myself for venturing out in weather I’m too keen on.
