Easy Does It

Easy trot down to Red Rocks. Stopped at the turn to enjoy the view over to Hilbre Island and North Wales – should do that more often to be honest. Legs still stiff.

Grotty

Went out late afternoon. Totally grotty afternoon it was too. Cold, windy, wet and generally not very appealing.

Did Red Rocks loop with an equally grotty performance.

Easy Like Monday Morning

Easy run today. Good!

Red Rocks again – over 4 minutes slower than yesterday – still didn’t find it that easy. Decent breeze around but still nice and warm.

Accompanied by Sarah for a bit riding alongside on her bike.

Speedy Red Rocks

The little training programme that I’m kind of following had me down for a 5km race or private trial. I plumped for my Red Rocks circuit at 5.51km as I’ve done it that often that it’s a good guide to my form.

So on an unseasonly warm afternoon for mid October I timed myself. Stopped the watch on 24.13 which is quite possibly a PB. Now I’ve only done two speed training sessions – I wouldn’t have thought that they’d have that much effect. With a bit more speed training to come perhaps I’ll beat 24 for my well trodden loop.

Stiff hip now though :(

Tired Today

Only managed Red Rocks and back this lunchtime. Hip/pelvis was bloody sore starting off. Plodded along and got to the railings at Red Rocks in 13.00. Back home in 26.somethingĀ  …slowww.

Meeting Mike tomorrow in Stretton …bring it on.

Red Rocks Today

Sneaked out before our Sunday roast for a trot to Red Rocks and back. Bit of a breeze but still quite nice really. Did it in about 25.35 which is kind of alright’ish. I suppose.

Might see if I fit a longer run in this week. Actually, I’m looking forward to a few runs in the early autumn weather.

Graham and Steve (P) are looking to hit the roads too !

JC Plod

Dropped youngest off at dancing and ran to Red Rocks on what was a rather pleasant late afternoon considering recent weather. Really, really ploddy today for whatever reason? Not enough cake probably. Fortunately Sarah has made some chocolate chip fairy cakes, so I can get stuck into them this week :)

The Trouble With Being Tall

…is that sometimes it would seem you’re going to get a bad back. So that’s what I’ve gone and got. It’s my daughters fault of course – as I managed to pull a muscle or something when I was rinsing their flannels in the bathroom basin. Rather sore though since Friday morning.

Needed some fresh air so I decided I was okay enough to go for a run but I could feel it every so often. Fancied doing more but ended up just going to Red Rocks and back (!)

Red Rocks With Graham

Sunday morning trot with GrahamĀ  at 9.30 this morning down to Red Rocks. Where did Saturday’s lovely weather go?

Other blog posts to catch up on!

Friday Rocks

Will we ever see the end of this bloody wind? Sneaked out before tea on yet another blowy day to nip down to Red Rocks. Considering the conditions I’m quite happy with 25:31
