200m reps. 7 and Three Quarters Of Them.
Supposed to be doing 10 reps of 200m today with a walk/jog recovery. Well, my thighs were dead sore so after 7 & 3/4 of those 10 I jacked it, did a quick warm down and went home for a bowl of soup.
A Dozen
Saturday reps session. Can’t say I enjoyed it much to be honest. Muscle ache wise it’s my inner thighs that seem to feel it the most.
Toyed with the initial idea of doing 15 reps but it was way too tempting to call it quits after 12.
Reps
Really didn’t feel like doing reps, especially on a hill. So I compromised with myself and chose to do some reps down on the prom.
Struggled to be honest and had had enough after 10 reps!
Repeating Myself
Reps session today…
1 min fast, 1 min recovery
2 min fast, 2 min recovery
3 min fast, 3 min recovery
4 min fast, 4 min recovery
5 min fast
Now, fast is subjective. The 1 min and the 2 min intervals were faster than the 3,4 and 5. But then there’s no way I can blast it for 5 mins all at the same speed as I can for just 1. Actually, the 3 min rep hurt the most I reckon.
Windy as heck today, so I stayed off the prom and ended up doing the stints on Meols Drive. The Cinder Path is probably a more suitable venue but again ‘cos it’s next to the muni golf course it’s very exposed too.
Easy, 30 mins on the cards tomorrow
A Dozen
Was supposed to be doing hill reps but didnt fancy it. So …went down to the prom and after a warm up I did 12 stints alongside the tennis courts.
Started to find it a bit hard on the last few but pleased with myself for sticking it out for the 12.
