Social Saturday

Me and Graham did our Sunday morning on Saturday today. Windy, of course and cool too.

Down to Meols, past the Brickworks, up Meols Stretch and through Meols. Here’s the route.

Slogging on a Sunday Morning

Now, I know I’m not the fastest in the morning but I found it really hard going this morning for the the first mile or so. Nice to be out though, Meols beach looked great in the early(ish) morning winter sunshine - wish I’d had my camera to capture it for my little, personal interest, Meols blog.

Decided to do the brickworks loop in reverse so along the prom down to Meols first. Picked up a bit in the last mile or so along the main road towards home. Tea and toast afterwards was much more enjoyable!

Going to have to start upping the miles in readiness for the Liverpool Half soon I guess.

Not In To It

Went out today, going alright’ish but made hard work of it and was a little half hearted. Shins and ankles bit grumbly to start with - possibly due to those 2 ten-milers in close succession. And maybe my shoes are on the way out. Saw some bloke running on Hoylake beach on Saturday (he was motoring too) - think I should do that too to get off the pavement for a bit.

It was blowing a gale in the night so I’d expected it to be windy today and it was. Did my brick works circuit for (1) a change (2) avoid some of the wind. Of course this circuit does about 1 mile of prom from Meols to Hoylake, so my logic’s as good as it was in my coding days!

Brickworks Circuit

In an attempt to avoid the breeze that would be in my face running up to West Kirby I ran my Brickworks circuit this lunchtime. Need to Navman this one to confirm exact distance. Its around 7.5 km.

Stats to confirm when Polar is fixed.
