Run To The Lighthouse
Did the route that I did with Graham last Sunday on my own this morning - it wasn’t quite so windy thankfully.
I’ve mapped the route here and it’s 8.27 km .. just about the same as my favoured Riversdale Rd circuit. Actually, from drive rather than from the corner of the road makes damn near the same.

Windy Yet Again
Will it ever stop blowing a gale in Hoylake?
Shortened Riversdale Rd circuit after a dancing drop-off. Windy as hell from the bottom of Hoyle Road upto Kings Gap - the prom and the road is totally covered in sand in parts.
Quite enjoyed it when I wasn’t getting blown over.
Meols Mooch
A friend had mentioned a footpath in Meols (that I’ll photo for my Meols blog at some point) that I’ve never, ever been along. So I ran down to it (on the edge of Mannington Close/Bertram Drive), crossed over the railway line and then promptly got soaking feet ‘cos a ditch had flooded the path.
Turned back ‘cos it way too wet and just ended up doing a short run around Meols. One of those days when I just wasn’t into it.
Sandstorm
Totally windy again this Sunday morning for mine and Grahams run. Headed down to Meols for a change …wind assisted so a nice easy start. Ended up at Leasowe Lighthouse before turning back …not wind assisted, so a hard run back. Turned down the footpath by the caravan park and back through Meols to home.
