10 On The Nail

Did 10k today.

Start on the prom by the bottom of Hoyle Road. Face New Brighton and simply keep going straight until you reach the sandstone turret by Leasowe Golf Club (you pass it on the seaside run). Touch the wall. Turn around. Run back. Stop at the little entrance in the middle of the bowling green site.

Now with the wind being out in force it was fast on the outward and bloody hard on the return. Did the first 1.6 km in 6.20 approx (15.3 kph) ! Got to the wall in 22:10. I think its 5.1km so thats 13.80 kph. A right old plod all the way home into the strong wind - 4.9km in 24:31 giving 11.99 kph. It was starting to p**s me off toward the end.

Still, not too bad overall. Sore toe tips though.

No running tomorrow - off out for lunch somewhere with Sarah.

Start:12:57
Duration:46:41
Distance:10.00km
Ave speed: 12.85 kph

We both did long runs today, although yours was 1km further.

We both set out at similar times too.

Good first mile time by the way!

You had problems with the windy conditions, whilst mine was with hills and narrow paths in places.

Our average speed was very similar too, albeit yours was slightly faster.

    Very similar indeed.

Enjoy your lunch with Sarah tomorrow. Will you be having any brown medicine?

Good job coming back in the wind. Wind is always so sneaky when we run.
