A Ploddy Run Today

Did my Riversdale Road (anti) today and felt really ploddy all the way around.

Might have a day off tomorrow…need to plant my daffodil and tulip bulbs !

A Run In The Autumn Sun

Went out late afternoon today having spent the morning topping up the caffeine levels in Starbucks. Still buzzin’. Absolutely great autumn weather; mild, sunny, fresh afternoon without a breath of wind. Didn’t have a great deal of time so just did my Red Rocks loop. Wasn’t going too bad though I was overtaken by some bloke who was going a decent whack.

Caldy Loop - Faulty Technology!

Did my Caldy loop today and hoped to measure it but the bleeding Navman played up. It beeped at me a couple of times and I noticed that it was displaying 2.6 k for ages. I slowed to walking a couple of times to press the buttons. To top if off when I got home I stopped running and reset the bloody thing by mistake! I need to take a proper look at it.

And the Polar must have played up too. HRmax of 216 my arse!

Weather was nice and warm but there was a stiff wind about (though nothing like it is the evening).

2 Tops Weather

Noticeably cooler this lunchtime so I chose to wear another top over my running vest. Not cold enough though for my wooly hat - though I did see 2 runners out wearing theirs.

Made myself do my Marine Lake circuit. Bit hard running around the lake in to a decent headwind. A couple of windsurfers were skimming the water at a fair pace.

Nearly 20 Miles Today

marin rift zone But I cheated and did it on my bike. Could still feel the strain in my thigh so I thought I’d go out on my bike for a change.

Went along the Wirral Way up to Parkgate and back. With the weather decidedly autumnal (decent wind, bit of rain) I don’t know why I didn’t do this ride when the weather was far nicer! It was quite wet due to the recent downpours so I got completely covered in mud.

Really enjoyed it despite feeling the pace a little toward the end in to the headwind. Just got home before the heavens opened.

Sluggish Again Today

Really didnt feel like it today and I didnt do that much when I talked myself in to going.

My back is aching still and I’ve got a pull near my top right inner thigh. More moaning!

The weather didnt know what to do with itself. It was quite windy and alternating between rain and sun.

Just did my Red Rocks loop only via a Market Street outbound leg. Got blown home.
