Cronin In Shock Injury Scare
Don’t know quite how I’ve done it but I’ve acquired a really sore, back muscle strain. It bothered me a bit yesterday (hence the easy trot) and it’s no better today - so no running today.
If I just move in a certain way it really hurts with a sharp pain coming from under my right shoulder. I’ll just have to wait for it to go as quick as it came. If I don’t go out tomorrow then it’ll be Monday before I’ll have an opportunity - I’m on Dad duties all this weekend.
When I am back out, I’m going to go to Royden Park - a local, popular National Trust woodland - and see if I can map out a couple of loop circuits. I need some other places to run apart from the North Wirral coast line. Royden Park would make a nice change but I suspect free running dogs (and more-so their daft owners) might be a problem.

Oh dear! I hope that your injury is just a short term problem. Have you been lifting or carrying anything heavy just lately? Take care of your back, don’t rush back too soon! When I had a back injury, I simply went for 3 mile walks rather then runs.
I have been a bit busy at work and also home recently, so have not had the time to update my blog.
Well, that is util now! I’ve stayed up this evening and made the following blog entries:
9.10km Appleton Park and Reservoir Combination in 46:35
