Red Rocks and back today. Not much wind about - makes a change!

5.61km
24:32 - giving 13.72 km/hr - equals my PB that I did last summer.

442Kcal

HRmax=199/ave=170

199 max….that seems high to me? Maybe it’s right - that’s the fastest I’ve run using the Polar. The average seems alright though. Will have to monitor my monitor I think.

Well it looks like I might need a new pair of trainers soon - the soles on my current pair are showing some wear. Probably still okay for a quite a few more miles but I might get a new pair now and alternate between the two (as seems to be way the serious runners do).

Fortunately we (I) won a pair of ceramic GHD hair straighteners in a competition the other day and as they are quite expensive and as we’ve already got a pair, then I’m going to sell them - and then I can invest the money in some new running gear (can’t I, Dear?).

Talking of running - suppose I should sneak 30 mins in now.

Another windy day down on the prom.

Red Rocks and back today.

5.61 km
25:54

458 KCal
HRmax=177/ave=168

Nice and bright, not too windy, cool out of the sunshine.

Calday loop today.

Distance=15km very approx
Time=1:12:08 (splits of 24:50 & 37:30)
Kcal=1304
HRmax=184/ave = 170

Another very windy, bright, cool day.

Red Rocks and back today

5.61km
26:05 giving 12.9km/hr ave

463KCal
HRmax=179/ave=168

A right grotty day today - cool, raining and quite windy too. The sand was really getting blown across Hoylake beach - fast conditions for some sand yachters though.

I adjusted my computer on my mountain bike today having measured the distance travelled in one revolution of the wheel. The computer was slightly out giving an over statement. So didn’t do a run - measured out a couple of my circuits instead.

Brick works loop is 4.71 miles
Red Rocks out-and-back is 3.49 miles

Did the Brickworks loop today.

Wasn’t going great but still managed to record HRmax of 184 ! This seems high - have I missed something on the setup of the Polar?

Bright day but cool and windy along the prom toward home.

7.2km(very approx) - actually its 7.58km cos I checked it on 06-Apr

35:47 so that gives 12.71km/hr

658 kcal

HRmax=184/ave=172

Spotted this today so might have a go at running through the tunnel

No running for me today.

Did do a steady 1hr bike ride with Sarah.

Well done to my running mate Mike, he’s also started a blog to cover both his running and his footy referee activities.

Thanks to my ex-colleagues at BCT I’m now able to run with a Polar F11 heart rate monitor. So todays session was my first to be HR recorded. Haven’t yet set-up any zones and stuff or yet attempted to find my max heart rate.

Still got a bit of a sore throat.

Red Rocks and back.

Very windy day.

5.7KM (approx - need a Nav Man next I suppose!) - actually it’s 5.61 KM

25:45

453 cals.

HRmax=182/ave=168
